Chelsea Away Jersey Review

So, we just got one of the Chelsea Away Jerseys down in our offices in Birmingham, and now I'm going to tell you what I think about it. This isn't what adidas wants us to say, or what I'm supposed to say. This is what I really think.

The Clima-Cool fabric is very soft, as usual. And the mesh sections under the arms are very stretchy and breathable. You might be underwhelmed by the flashiness of this jersey if that's your thing. But I think that the Black color and subtle details make this jersey very wearable. It wouldn't draw too much attention, but is very clearly a Chelsea jersey (if that makes sense). As a matter of fact, if I were a Chelsea supporter, I would have no problem wearing it out to grab a beer, even in Alabama. Whereas, Chelsea's new Third Shirt might be a bit too flashy for me.

The real treats of this jersey are in the details. The badge is all black and white to match the kit. There are subtle patterns in the mesh under the arms. On the back, just below the collar, there is a nice imprint of the Chelsea Lion Logo. Even the small white sections on the edges of the sleeves add a little something to the shirt.

Verdict: Even though you wouldn't catch me in this shirt (not big on Chelsea, personally), this jersey is a very nice addition to any supporters collection. Black is always in, and yet it doesn't stand out. A perfect mix for wearing to the pub for a beer or to watch the match (or both).

Black- Sure looks nice. I prefer a lighter color. The Chelsea players looked like referees on the soccer field when I saw the ManCity v. Chelsea game last week.
