England’s World Cup 2010 ‘Shirt’

We’re proud to give you the The Official Umbro England National Soccer Team 09/10 Line available for Pre-Order. You can’t miss ‘em; they’re the ones with the mannequin images.

Unfortunately, like the products themselves, images are not yet available, but we could tell you that there is a redesigned crest, and that this is not only the gear England will be wearing to qualify to South Africa 2010 but will also be wearing during the games – at least the Home Shirt

The following is from Umbro

THE LAUNCH RATIONALE

With England 2009 we are entering the first phase of Umbro’s brand reset. New England is about more than just another kit – it’s a new concept and a key brand driver.

The new concept we have created around England is a result of mashing performance with style and thereby creating a new form – “Football Tailored”.
The foundations for this are something that already existed in our brand’s history, having invented the notion of sportswear and Football tailoring some 85 years ago. Acknowledging our long tradition and utilizing all the benefits of modern technology, we have created our own unique, bold move that will change the perception of Umbro.

With this launch we are not only communicating the Football Tailored concept and our involvement with the game and England, but we have also shifted the perception of the current jersey from being an icon of English football to an icon of English culture.
